Shipr app provides two fulfillment workflows for updating Shopify order status and sending notifications to the customers.

A. Immediate

        Step 1

  1. The Customer places an order on Shopify.
  2. The Order confirmation email will be sent to the customer.
  3. Shipr app will create a fulfillment on FBA.
  4. The order status on Shopify will be updated to 'Fulfilled'.

       Step 2

  1. Order is shipped by Amazon.
  2. For each item in the order, the app will send a separate shipping notification email along with the tracking ID to the customer.
  3. The order status will remain unchanged to 'Fulfilled'.

This is the default fulfillment option that replicates Shopify's in-built Fulfillment by Amazon integration.

B. Deferred

        Step 1

  1. The Customer places an order on Shopify.
  2. The Order confirmation email will be sent to the customer.
  3. Shipr app will create a fulfillment on FBA.
  4. The order status on Shopify will not be updated. It will remain 'Unfulfilled'.

       Step 2

  1. Order is shipped by Amazon.
  2. For each shipment (containing one or more items), the app will send a shipping notification email along with the tracking ID to the customer.
  3. The order status will change to 'Fulfilled' once all the items are shipped by FBA.

We recommend this option as it is easier to track fulfilled vs unfulfilled orders inside the Shopify admin.
