When fulfilling orders through Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), the Customer Email ID field allows you to control whether the customer’s email address is sent to Amazon along with the order details.
For this, from the dropdown, you can select how the Customer Email ID is handled:
Send to Amazon
The customer’s email address (if available) will be shared with Amazon.
This helps Amazon communicate order updates, delivery notifications, and shipment status directly with the buyer.
Do Not Send to Amazon
The customer’s email address will not be passed to Amazon, even if available in the order details.
Amazon will rely on its own communication system without using the provided email.
Best Practice
Recommended: Select Send to Amazon to ensure smooth communication between Amazon and your customers regarding shipping and delivery.
Only choose Do Not Send to Amazon if you have specific business or compliance requirements preventing customer email sharing.
