Shipr now supports split fulfillment scenarios, ensuring that tracking information is synced more accurately between Amazon and Shopify when orders are shipped in multiple packages.
This enhancement improves how fulfillment and tracking updates are reflected in Shopify for orders processed through Amazon, including FBA and manual Shipr fulfillment flows.
What Is Split Fulfillment?
A split fulfillment occurs when Amazon ships:
- Multiple products from the same order in separate packages, or
- Multiple quantities of a product across different shipments.
In such cases, Amazon may generate:
- Multiple tracking numbers for a single Shopify order
- Different shipment statuses for individual items within the same order
What Has Changed?
Our team has now implemented improvements to fully support split fulfillment scenarios.
With the latest update:
- Shopify fulfillment is now created correctly for split shipments
- Tracking information syncs more accurately from Amazon to Shopify
- Orders fulfilled in multiple packages are handled more reliably
- Fulfillment statuses are updated automatically once Amazon confirms shipment
How Fulfillment Sync Works
When an order is processed through Shipr:
- The order is first transferred to Amazon
- Amazon processes and ships the items
- Shipr receives fulfillment and tracking updates from Amazon
- Shopify fulfillment is automatically created and updated
Important Note
Fulfillment updates depend on Amazon’s shipment confirmation. Typically:
- Tracking updates appear within a few minutes
- In some cases, synchronization may take a few hours depending on Amazon’s processing time
